Who I am

Hi, my name is Aaron

I am a young aspiring chef that specialises in bakery and patisserie. I studied food technology in high-school and found my talents in tune with the art of making food filled with good flavours. I then decided to take on a 2 year course at University of west London in Ealing which helped me grow my skills within the hospitality industry, where I achieved a professional chef and restaurant level 2 Qualification. This is where I learnt all of the ins and outs of hospitality covering kitchen work - both culinary and bakery- front of house as a waiter and also work behind bar making and serving drinks. Once I graduated from this course I found myself leaning more towards bakery as it allowed me to express my creative side regarding flavours, textures and plating. It has always been my dream to take it as far as I can and continue to better my skills.

After working with a few kitchens and being a waiter at some local restaurants in my area, I went ahead to go study on a course I had found that specialised in bakery and patisserie- an intense course over the space of 4 months which had diversified my skills on a drastic level, allowing me to grow my knowledge and creativity in an area I had already set my eyes on to become the best in. This led me into a new field which I had yet been exposed to…the art of chocolate work. Work that never felt so challenging yet therapeutic to the mind and soul. A variety of flavour profiles expressed through different origins with its own unique taste broadened the horizon for me to create such delicacies ranging from flavours that could be so light or intense, or even the best of both. I wanted to find a balance compatible for desserts I was able to make and so here I am on this journey to this very day.

What do I do?

Currently I’m a junior chocolatier and taking on a role as Chef de Partie at my current job. However, I’m looking to continue on my of chocolate and bakery journey where I can shine bright. My current job allows me to learn more about the industry from the culinary side of things and also about myself as a person. Patience within yourself, trust within the process and love for what you do. Turning up to work everyday knowing you’re playing your part making sure everyone is fed well and having a positive impact on their day all because of a good meal. As I specialise in the ‘sweet stuff’ I believe I can make someone’s sour day sweet just through the consumption of my baked goods and confectionery.

What are my goals?

I’d like to have my own business in the future hopefully my own dessert lounge or little food shop which can and will consist of me serving what I like to classify as comfort food. Overall, I just want my food to brighten days of those whose days have been dull. Remember- sun always shines after the rain falls…so let me be your sun and bring you that positive, bright and warm feeling through the love and care I put into my food.
